Strategic Approach

The redesign process began with an analysis of the competitive landscape within the healthcare and personal care sectors.

Several key brand values were identified as central to the packaging strategy:

  • Care and protection.
  • Skin-friendly materials.
  • Reliability.
  • Ease of use.
  • Everyday convenience.
  • Quality at an affordable price.

Special consideration was also given to the packaging structure itself. The client was exploring alternative opening mechanisms that could improve usability while maintaining production efficiency. This required the graphic layout to remain flexible enough to accommodate different structural configurations without disrupting essential information or visual balance.

The Challenge

The existing packaging faced several common issues frequently encountered in mature product categories:

  • Limited shelf visibility among competing products.
  • Outdated visual appearance.
  • Weak communication of product benefits.
  • Insufficient emphasis on quality and reliability.
  • Lack of a consistent visual structure for future product extensions.

Because adhesive bandages are often purchased quickly and without extensive comparison, packaging plays a critical role in attracting attention and communicating trust within a matter of seconds.

The challenge was to create a design that would immediately communicate care, protection, comfort and product reliability while remaining accessible to a broad consumer audience.

Project Overview

A manufacturer of consumer healthcare products approached us with the need to refresh an existing packaging line for adhesive bandages distributed through pharmacies, supermarkets, convenience stores and fuel station retail networks.

The product itself had established market presence and competitive pricing, however the packaging no longer reflected the quality of the product inside and struggled to stand out on increasingly crowded retail shelves.

The objective was not to redesign a single package, but to create a scalable visual system that could support the future development of an entire product line.

Design Solution

The final packaging concept was developed around the idea of confidence and protection.

A cleaner information hierarchy was introduced to improve product recognition and make key information easier to understand at a glance.

Visual elements were refined to communicate:

  • Product reliability.
  • Comfort during everyday use.
  • Skin protection.
  • Water resistance.
  • Quality assurance.

The design system was created with future product line expansion in mind, allowing additional variants and formats to be introduced while maintaining strong brand consistency across the range.

Result

The project resulted in a complete packaging rebranding system capable of supporting both current and future product categories.

The updated design improved shelf impact, strengthened product perception and provided a scalable foundation for ongoing brand development.

By focusing on clarity, trust and usability, the packaging now communicates the product's value more effectively across multiple retail environments while supporting long-term brand recognition.
